PeakStop

Privacy Policy

Effective August 4, 2026 · Silva Peak Enterprises LLC

PeakStop plans road trips. To do that it needs a small amount of your data, described completely below. We don’t run ads, we don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t use it to track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

Account. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Apple or Google — the identifier those providers share for sign-in. Used only to operate your account.

Location. Your precise location, used to plan routes from where you are and to show your position on the trip map. If you join a shared trip and start navigating, your live location is shared with the people on that trip — including in the background while your screen is locked, only during an active drive you started. Background sharing stops when navigation ends. Location is never used for advertising or analytics.

Trip content. The trips you plan, stops you save, votes and ratings, and anything you paste or attach to plan a trip — captions, links, screenshots. Pasted and attached content is processed on our servers by Anthropic’s Claude API to extract a route, and is not used to train AI models.

That’s it. No contacts, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking, no data broker feeds.

Who processes it

Your data lives with the infrastructure providers who run PeakStop: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (servers), Google Maps Platform (routing, places, and map data), Anthropic (trip parsing), and Apple / Expo (app delivery). Each receives only what its job requires.

Sharing between users

Shared trips are shared: people on a trip see the trip plan, each other’s names or initials, and — during an active drive — each other’s live location. Invite links grant access to the specific trip they were created for.

Retention & deleting your account

Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account any time in the app — tap the account button, then Delete account — or on the web from the My Trips panel. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, trips, saved stops, votes, and preferences are all removed, and shared trips you own become unavailable to their collaborators. You can also email us (below) and we’ll do it for you.

Children

PeakStop is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
